What is reCAPTCHA?

reCAPTCHA is an additional security mechanism designed to protect website forms from attacks by bots / automated scripts.
Depending on the version of reCAPTCHA, the security may request to mark the field that you are not a robot and display the task to be performed to proceed further (reCAPTCHA v2) or the Google script itself assesses whether it is dealing with a bot or not, it is done on the basis of information about the number of visits from a given IP address. In reCAPTCHA v3, if a Google script decides that it can deal with a bot, then it shows a task to solve. reCAPTCHA v3 does not require initial interaction, i.e. field marking - confirmation that you are not a bot.

1.1. Package uses native Joomla plugins - "CAPTCHA - reCAPTCHA" and "CAPTCHA - Invisible reCAPTCHA".
1.2. Support for Joomla 3 and Joomla 4.
1.3. Possibility to choose the reCaptcha type (v2 or v3).
1.4. The package includes two plugins required for proper operation.

2. Requirements

2.1. One of the default Joomla 3 or Joomla 4 backend templates.
2.2. ReCaptcha keys generated on the site Google reCaptcha Admin Console.
2.3. At least one of the Joomla plugins configured: "CAPTCHA - reCAPTCHA" or "CAPTCHA - Invisible reCAPTCHA".

3. Installation instruction

3.1. Download the purchased Joomla admin reCaptcha extension via your customer account available on our website.
3.2. On your website at the Joomla admin panel go to: Extensions -> Manage -> Install.
3.3. Choose Upload Package File tab.
3.4. Choose pkg_ignisdev_admin_recaptcha.zip file from your disk to install it.
3.5. Go to Extensions -> Plugins, find plugin User - Ignisdev Admin reCaptcha and activate it.
3.6. Go to Extensions -> Plugins, find plugin System - Ignisdev Admin reCaptcha, select the reCaptcha version in its settings and activate it.
3.7. If you do not have "CAPTCHA - reCAPTCHA" and / or "CAPTCHA - Invisible reCAPTCHA" plugins configured yet, generate the appropriate public and private keys at Google reCaptcha Admin Console and paste them into the appropriate fields of these plugins.
